In Italy we are used to have people going back and forth in the beaches to sell any kind of stuff: towels, shoes, sweatshirts, necklaces, sun glasses …
This might not be fun for people who’s enjoying the beach, this is surely not fun for the people who are working carrying heavy stuff all around.
What I discovered in a recent trip to Sardinia is that a pitchman had the idea to invert the dependency: he put his merchandise on a stand in a wonderful beach just by the sea as you can see in this picture I took.
This is the place where everyone has a walk so instead of going around, he let people come by and go through his ‘shop’. And guess what, as you see in the picture, people is ‘having a look’ and of course someone buys !
Nice idea this dependency inversion principle on the beach! 🙂
