We always communicate, no matter what we do or pretend NOT to do.
And we do it with what we say (the words we use), with the way in which we say things and with our ‘body language’ (face expression, posture, gestures …).
Now there are times in which these things are not in sync and they give different messages … not aligned together (for example .. when we lie 🙂 ).
What you might not know is that we (our counterpart) feel this lack of sync … and that we believe more in what we ‘get’ from the body language. ‘What we say’ comes last in importance!
