As you know if you read this blog, I’m involved in studying the relationship between IT departments and other departments and how this relationship is different.

A client of mine has received this email recently:

Why do we need all these docs / emails to authorize / perform this task? Change the way in which you do this stuff and do it in a better way!

Here is one of the differences: who can use a mouse, feels himself authorized to explain to IT guys that they are wrong, that they have to change and often how to change no matter if they are right or wrong, no matter if they know what are talking about.
