I’ve read an interesting post, in Italian, that deals with how to create a new attitude in 7 steps. It’s pretty classic and useful. Here are the steps:

  1. take a decision: start now! Even with a small step!
  2. no exceptions: no excuses!
  3. make a public commitment: people can help and it helps by itself
  4. visualize: image yourself while doing that actions. Your brain doesn’t really know if you are leaving it or not, if you imagine it deeply enough.
  5. use a mantra: repeat and repeat a small sentence about your goal.
  6. never give up! You need 4 weeks and that will become an habit: be strong!
  7. celebrate! Associate something that gives you pleasure, with this moment.
