Interesting post from David Anderson in his Agile Management Blog called There is No Customer Service.

Let me quote the core of his post (a card, he saw, stuck to a coffee machine in a Coffee House 🙂 ):

There is no customer service because there is no customer.
We are building individual relationships based on mutual respect and forging a great community through the fire of love.

Intriguing definition and I know what you are thinking: they (the customer) are not respecting me so there is no way!

I think someone has to start and that we (as ‘suppliers’) should really start asking if we are truly respecting ‘them’: listening to their needs, providing solutions/products up to the expectations, ….
