I was a young volleyball coach in 1980 when in Italy they started broadcasting (American) Football on TV.

I felt in love with that sport, the professional and technological way they used in managing the whole stuff was very inspiring.

Two persons were my heroes in that period: coach Bill Walsh and his quarterback Joe Montana. They led the San Francisco 49ers to exceptional results in the 80s.

Bill Walsh, the greatest offensive mind in the NFL history, died Monday morning.
