I’m really proud to know that my hometown (Genoa, Italy) is well known in the US.
Well, to tell the truth, I thought Genoa was famous in the US because is the hometown of Christopher Columbus the guy who discovered Americas in 1492 … but …. it’s ok! 🙂

To tell the truth nowadays Genoa is mainly known as the home town of Sampdoria UC soccer team. I don’t dislike the association between Genoa and Salami though… 🙂

In general, Salami is not the first food from Genoa that come to someone mind… expecially if it is born there!
On the other side I do not have a perception of being known for soccer… I’ll prefer to immagine that is famous for the Harbor that recall Columbus, Lanterna, Blue Jeans and so on.
