Yes I know: you like to bring with you your laptop! You can take notes quickly, you can send immediately feedback to people that’s not there, you can add tasks related to the meeting in your Outlook … AND … you exactly know what other people are thinking: you are doing your own business.

And (sometimes) they are RIGHT! 😉

If you want them to listen to you, if you want that your message reaches them: LISTEN when they speak. Look them in their eyes, turn on your brain and UNDERSTAND their point. Take notes (with a pen!).

Yes I know: you’d (probably) be sligthly inefficient BUT they’ll know you care, you are a good listener and will be more open to receive your message.
